Curriculum and Learning

With support from industry professionals and educators, you’ll develop a shared understanding of STEM, the º£½ÇÖ±²¥ Australian Curriculum and effective approaches to STEM learning. You’ll design STEM experiences that connect to º£½ÇÖ±²¥ Australian industries and future career pathways.

Program overview

Throughout the program you’ll:

  • explore research-informed STEM practice
  • collaborate with colleagues and industry to design engaging STEM experiences
  • align STEM learning with the º£½ÇÖ±²¥ Australian Curriculum for Public Education
  • evaluate and refine your learning design and classroom application in a supportive environment.

By the end of the program, you’ll be able to:

  • apply curriculum knowledge of the learning areas related to STEM
  • design and evaluate engaging, real-world STEM experiences
  • identify how STEM knowledge is applied in º£½ÇÖ±²¥ Australia’s space and defence industries, and how to integrate this knowledge into learner experiences
  • leverage connections to º£½ÇÖ±²¥ Australian industry networks and teaching peers.

Orbis pays for:

  • program fees and material costs
  • TRT funding for 3 release days (2 face-to-face program days and one day for site-based planning and online learning)
